A persona is a saved character you can apply in one click. VirtualCam ships with a few built-ins, and you can create as many of your own as you like.
Creating a persona
- On the Streaming screen, click the + tile in the Personas panel.
- Give it an optional name and describe the character - appearance, style, lighting. Short, concrete descriptions work best.
- Click Create. The persona is saved to this browser and selected immediately.
Tips for good characters
- Lead with the subject: “silver-haired elf princess”, “chrome android”, “oil-painting nobleman”.
- Add a style or medium: anime, photorealistic, renaissance painting, claymation.
- Add lighting or mood last: studio lighting, neon glow, warm candlelight.
Image-based personas (upload a face and become that exact character) are coming in a future release.
